AGGREGAT 1 & 2 – The Beginning of the Rocket Programme 1932

In 1932, German rocket pioneers under Wernher von Braun and Walter Dornberger began the Aggregat programme – a systematic development series that would ultimately lead to the V2 and, with it, to modern space travel.

Aggregat 1 (A1) and Aggregat 2 (A2) were the first steps of this ambitious programme. Although still technically primitive, they laid the groundwork for all later developments. Histovia Film explains the technology and the historical circumstances of these early trials.

Using historical documents and explanations, the reel shows how the Aggregat programme was structured, what setbacks the developers had to overcome, and how these early experiments paved the way for history's first ballistic rocket.
