Thomas Hänni is co-founder of Histovia Film KLG and is responsible for the camera work, video editing and direction of every production. What began in 2023 as a passion for history has grown into a thriving content project with over 16 million views and 52,000 followers on Facebook – built without paid advertising, purely through authentic historical content.
Histovia Film stands for factually researched, documentary-style content – no speculation, no sensationalism. Every reel is based on historical sources and filmed directly on location. Together with Yvonne Stöferle, Thomas travels across Europe to document historical sites, bunkers, museums and memorials.
From research through filming to the finished reel – Thomas oversees the entire production chain. Footage is captured with 2× Insta360 X5 cameras at 8K, complemented by professional microphones and lighting equipment. The final reel is delivered in 4K, 320 kbit/s, 48 kHz.
Thomas has directed and edited every Histovia Film production to date – with a combined total of over 16 million views since December 2025.
